Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick have allegedly been 'living separate lives for some time', according to US reports.Claims emerged last week in the US press that SJP's husband of 11 years had had an affair with an unknown youth worker, whilst the actress was filming Sex and The City: The Movie, last November.Although the sensationalised allegations seemed unfounded – since the couple are looked upon as one of the most solid pairings in showbiz – the story has snowballed and Broderick's 'no comment' stance from his representative, Simon Hall, just added fuel to the fire. According to a US magazine, there is an increasing strain on the couple's marriage and they have rarely been spotted out together over the past few months. One source spoke out saying: 'Sarah and Matthew have been struggling for years. Now that news of Matthew's cheating has broken, they have decided to make things work – especially for the sake of their son, James.'Despite reports that SJP is 'devastated' by the accusations that Broderick had a three-month affair with a 25-year-old, she apparently wants to remain married for the sake of their son. 'Sarah's in a lot of pain,' one neighbour told Star magazine.
